Cycology Riding Club

Cycology Riding Club is a not-for-profit cycling club established in 2011. Our vision is to create a global platform for promoting cycling as a tool for a healthy lifestyle and social development

Mission

Promote cycling as a fun and healthy lifestyle. Collaborate with Government Agencies to enlighten road users. Draw attention to social issues through cycling.

Promote grassroots and professional cycling. Forge collaborative partnerships that impact the cycling community and our society, positively

Organising Rides

We advise that cyclists of equal ability and fitness level should ride together with no more than 14 cyclists constituting a group (peloton)

It is therefore important to choose a group that fits with both your comfort level and competency as it is unfair to expect a group to wait for a rider in order to keep up.

Safety

Our safety rules define the behaviour we expect from members, in order to promote safe cycling and protect the reputation of the club sponsors and sport.

As safety is paramount to the cycling experience, it is the responsibility of each member to practice safety towards other cyclists, motorists and road users...

Core Values

Integrity. Fun. Responsibility. Safety. Sportsmanship. Camaraderie. Healthy Living.

We believe in these strongly and strive to live them out daily

Know Your Gears
Your Front Gears (Located Near Your Right Pedal) Are Used To Make The Biggest Shifts. You May Have Two Or Three Chain Rings To Choose From.
Learn To Brake
The No. 1 Rule Of Braking Is To Use Both Brakes Evenly, Particularly If You Need To Stop Suddenly. The Front Brake Provides More Stopping Power.
Be Smooth On Pedals
Think About Turning Circles With Your Pedals Rather Than Pushing Down On Them. Imagine You'Re Gracefully Wiping Mud Off The Bottom Of Your Foot.
